MOST IMPORTANT: Be respectful of landscapes, cultures & trails. Europe’s open spaces are growing more and more congested. As well as those that live and work in the countryside, there are many leisure groups wanting to take advantage of our dwindling green spaces. As a user of our waypoint collection, you are obliged to be responsibel to ourselves and the users that come after you to ensure that access is maintained. We aim to be ambassadors of good behavior for using the waypoints respectfully and sensitively.
We believe that if we measure our actions with the following 3 criteria, then we can all help to change people’s perceptions for the better:
1. Respect for the trails - No offroad shortcuts
2. Respect for the communities we travel through.
3. Respect for the environment.
Be aware, that the Passes only accesible by foot may present some Dangers and challenges to be reached. Make sure, that you use proper Mountaineering Equipement, check the weather forecast and weather conditions. Also make sure to consult the current Avalanche Warnings and Status. And MOST IMPORTANT; let people know where you are going, and keep in mind, once you reached the waypoint, you are only half way!
Some Passes may be closed for acces during Winter. Others are also only suitable for 4x4 or Offroad Motorcycle. For those, make sure you posses the required skills to access these Passes with your vehicule!
We are not responsible for the accuracy or correctness of the waypoints. If you decide to visit one of our waypoints you do this at your own risk!
