The Mach Loop is a series of valleys in west-central Wales used by military pilots for low-level flight training, located between the towns of Dolgellau and Machynlleth. The area is a popular destination for aviation enthusiasts who come to watch military jets and transport aircraft, such as the RAF Typhoon and USAF F-15, fly at very low altitudes, sometimes as low as 250 feet.
