Desert soils are slow to heal - any footprints or tread marks can last for decades, please stay on trail.
Decomposition of food scraps take longer than usual to breakdown, please pack it all out.
Wildlife aren't able to drink when humans are camping near water sources, please don't camp right next to tanks/springs.
Be on the lookout for desert tortoises, they can look like rocks in the road, please do not approach or handle if spotted.
