A very interesting sculpture of Decebalus – the last king of the Dacians, who fought against the Roman Empire for his country's independence. The investor was a Romanian businessman who first purchased a rock on the slope of the Almaj Mountains and then commissioned the carving of the 43-meter-high sculpture. The monument was carved by 12 workers, and the work took 11 years. Today, this unusual attraction can be viewed from both the bridge and by boat. Numerous boat, ship, or motorboat cruises are organized. On the way to the sculpture, we will also see the Trajan Tablet and the Veterani Cave. Near the sculpture is the beautiful Mraconia Monastery.
