The Robertville Dam is an impressive sight! The dam was built in 1928 and has a height of 55 m. When you walk across the dam, you have a beautiful view of Lake Robertville. This reservoir was built on the River Warche and has a surface area of ​​62 hectares. The reservoir supplies the city of Malmédy with drinking water and also serves as a water reservoir for a hydroelectric power plant in Bévercé. If you are driving from Malmédy, you can pull into a small car park on your left just before the dam. There is also a cafeteria located here where you can get something to eat and drink. There is also a clean toilet. Four nice walking routes start at this car park. The blue walking route, "In the Footsteps of Napoleon ," is highly recommended. At 5.2 km in length, it is manageable for young and old, and offers beautiful panoramic views. They are all walking loops, so the starting and ending points are at the car park.
