Monte Jafferau is a 2,805 m high mountain in the Cottian Alps in Italy, near the border with France.
It rises east of the town of Bardonecchia, on the left bank of the Dora di Bardonecchia river, and separates the Bardonecchia area from Valfredda. The northern summit is called Testa del Ban, 2,652 m.
At the summit is Fort Jafferau, built around 1880.
It is an important fortress and one of the highest fortresses in the Cottian Alps. A road leads from Salbertrand to the fort at the summit. Access is possible from Salbertrand and Savoulx, among other places.
The slopes of Monte Jafferau are part of the Bardonecchia ski area.
