The Knut Vesthassel Memorial (Norwegian: *Knut-Vesthassel-Minnestein*) is a prominent memorial stone situated at an elevation of 860 meters in the Norwegian mountain landscape. The obelisk stands directly beside the mountain road Rv. 520 (also known as *Saudavegen*), which connects the towns of Røldal and Sauda. The region is known for its impressive rock formations, smoothed by glacial action.
Incredible view in good weather, with the chance to linger for a while. Parking right on site.
The journey there from Sauda is worth the trip in itself.
