Das Café liegt direkt an der B 257 und ist über eine Parallelstraße bequem zu erreichen. Befestigte Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es reichlich. Egal ob Ihr ein Plätzchen im Grünen sucht oder direkt am Geschehen der B 257 sitzen möchtet, für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Dass Ihr Euer Motorrad dabei jederzeit im Blick haben könnt, ist selbstverständlich.

Europe’s highest fjord viewpoint accessible by car, offering views of the Geirangerfjord and snow-capped peaks—at an altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level. Featuring a grated floor and protective glass railings, it offers an unobstructed view of the fjord, the surrounding mountains, the Blåbreen glacier, and the village of Geiranger. Experience the sensation of floating as you stand over a sheer drop of more than 500 meters and feel the mountain breeze rising through the open-grid flooring. Experience this UNESCO World Heritage site bathed in the morning sun or beneath an autumn starry sky. The 5-kilometer road to Dalsnibba was completed in 1939 and stands as one of Norway’s most ambitious road-building projects. Navigating its 11 hairpin bends and a gradient of approximately 10% is an experience in itself—a fitting prelude to the spectacular sights awaiting you at the summit.

Inside the center you will find: • Large souvenir and gift shop • Bistro • Cinema • Toilets.With food service and a large souvenir shop, the Arctic Circle Center is a natural stopping point on your journey across Saltfjellet and the Arctic Circle. The Arctic Circle Center is situated right next to the Artic Circle monument on Saltfjellet, making it a natural stopping point for everyone who wants to mark crossing this special border into the Arctic. Souvenir shop and Arctic Bistro Inside the Center, you’ll find the Arctic Bistro, where you can pick between a large selection of dinners mainly made with reindeer meat, like a reindeer burger, flat iron reindeer steak, reindeer stew, or souvas. In addition, they also serve classic family favorites like hamburgers, loaded baked potatoes, and salmon pasta. They also have a large souvenir shop, with loads of nice gifts, locally made products and a good selection of clothes fit for the Nordic weather. It’s just perfect for the one that might’ve forgotten something at home, or if you spontaneously decide you want to go on a mountain hike while you’re there. You can also send postcards home to loved ones, sporting the Artic Circle postmark, you can also purchase your own exclusive certificate as proof that you have crossed the border into the Arctic regions. 

This is the starting point of adventure rally route. You can also camp here overnight along the lake. and there is a toilet facilities available. It was all free when i camped there.

An old cottage just beside Rausjødalen Setermeieri that you can rent for the night. Ask the old man that own and is daily managing Rausjødalen Setermeieri for accomodation. I think i paid around 700-800 kr for a night in the summer of 2025.

It offers a glimpse of a natural landscape that—ranging from fertile, deep valleys to barren high mountains and glaciers—is among the most diverse in all of Norway.  The exhibition presents the evolution of glaciers and the climate over time in an engaging, informative, and interactive way. It also illustrates how glaciers have shaped the landscape and what it is like to live near a glacier and utilize its resources. In the cinema, they screen a film that takes you on a journey beneath, across, and around the Jostedalsbreen glacier through the changing seasons. Food and Drink After a long day out and about, enjoy a delicious meal with a view of the Nigardsbreen glacier. Our lunch restaurant serves homemade dishes prepared with regional ingredients. On Sundays, we offer a special menu featuring a rotating selection of interesting dishes. The lunch restaurant accommodates both small and large groups. We would be happy to provide a quote for group menus upon request.

Blackcraig Castle is a Baronial mansion house in Perthshire, Scotland, close to the towns of Ballintium and Blairgowrie. It was built in 1856 by Patrick Allan Fraser, a prominent Scottish artist and architect, and is designated as a Class B-listed building, with its walled garden A-listed. It has undergone extensive renovations/modernisation in recent years to return it to its full former glory and remains one of the finest examples of Baronial architecture in Scotland. Surveys suggest that, originally occupying the site of Blackcraig Castle was a 16th-century tower house thought to be the property of the Maxwells’, who were in possession of the barony of Ballmacreuchy by 1550. Patrick Allan Fraser of Hospitalfield, Arbroath purchased the estate of Blackcraig from the trustees of Robert Rattray in 1847, before embarking on the extension and renovation of the tower house in 1856, with the addition of a bridgehouse and gatehouse. The original tower house stood three storeys in height and the masonry is of lime-mortared rubble, readily distinguishable from the 19th-century extensions.  Fraser continued to alter and extend Blackcraig until the 1880’s when ill health halted further progress. It became part of the Hospitalfield Arts Trust after his death in 1890 and was later sold and run as a guest house for a number of years. The current owners have been renovating Blackcraig and its policies since 2013 with a view to returning it to its former splendour.
