In the highway from Madrid to Badajoz you can find the proof of evolution in infrastructure (bridges an roads)
From the bottom off the Almonte river you can see three diferent bridges of three diferent times.
The older it's part off the Royal Road (Camino Rea) and was built on the XVII th century. The second that reaches the eye was built after de civil war in order ofer more security and a fastest conection betwin both city's!
In the early 90's, with the democracy consolidation and economy jumping, growes in teh orisont the bigest and thrid bridge!
The places is quiet and is near of the Monfrague Natural Park.
