Sveti Jure, Biokovo mountain (1752m)

Sveti Jure is the highest peak of Biokovo mountain and one of the highest peaks in Croatia. It is the highest point in Croatia with road acess (1752m). The road is about 23 km long and completely paved but it is narrow. During the summer, tourist season, the road can be pretty crowded and passing by vehicles form opposite direction must be careful and drivers have to be skilled (especially if driving a car or van). Good thing is there is no unlimited vehicle acess so large jams can not occure because there is a gate at the begining of the road with people taking care of number of the visitors. The road is part of Biokovo nature park in all it`s length and has limited acess and you have to buy a ticket. There is also a viewpoint with glass floor at about half of the road length called Skywalk and majority of tourist come here just to visit Skywalk but don`t go to the top.
