About this place
Fort Breendonk was originally build as part of a larger defence around Antwerp before WW1. During WW2 it was used by the Nazi regime and they did some chilling activities here. It is well worth to use the audio tour. It will make you speechless.

well worth the visit ... I left speechless from the audio tour listening to all the stories of the atrocities that took place here.

The many terrible atrocities committed here will leave you speechless.
It is definitely worth doing the audio tour with the stories of the people who survived their time in captivity there.
We spent more than two hours here without saying a single word. That's how impressive it was.
